Following up on my initial Article I had the chance to go see " Chiraq" by Spike Lee, this past weekend. After all the outrage from the very controversial Trailer, Which released last month, I was looking forward to checking this one out so I could be the judge. Born in Chicago myself, the current situation that the movie attempts to portray is very serious to me and much of my family that still resides there.
CHIRAQ= 3 out of 5
Pros-Good Acting, Directing, Comedic relief by way of Samuel Jackson
Cons- Casting, Authenticity, External influence was lacking.
